About Dr. Imad M. Zayyat

Dr. Imad Al-Zayyat is a senior consultant in general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, the digestive system and bariatric surgery. Dr. Emad Al-Zayyat joined Kuwait University and graduated from it in 1984. He obtained a certificate of specialization in general surgery from the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization in 1991. He holds a fellowship from the American College of Surgeons, and a fellowship British Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow). Dr. Imad is a member of the International Society of Surgeons, the Jordanian Society of Surgeons, the Jordanian Bariatric Surgeons Society, and the Jordanian Oncology Society. He is also a member of the International Federation of Obesity Surgery. Dr. Emad is distinguished by his long experience in the field of general surgery, where he worked in Kuwaiti hospitals from 1984 until 1996. The doctor is also one of the first surgeons to start performing laparoscopic hiatal hernia repairs in 1995 and gastric band operations to treat obesity in Jordan. He performed He performed many of these operations in several hospitals in Jordan, and he also held the position of Head of the Surgery Department at the Islamic Hospital (previously). Dr. Emad started his career in laparoscopic surgery since 1991, and the doctor performs many laparoscopic surgeries, the most important of which are: laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy.
