About Dr. Majdi Abdelkarim

Dr. Majdi Abdel Karim is a Consultant in ENT, Sinus Surgery, Endoscopic Procedures, and Skull Base Surgery. He is considered one of the most prominent and senior consultants in this field in Jordan, with over 30 years of medical and surgical experience. Throughout his distinguished career, he has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) diseases, with advanced focus on endoscopic sinus surgery, delicate skull base surgeries, and the use of surgical navigation systems to ensure the highest levels of precision, safety, and optimal treatment outcomes. Dr. Majdi Abdel Karim has held several prestigious academic and medical positions. He previously served as Head of the ENT Department at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine – Department of ENT at the University of Jordan and Jordan University Hospital. His international experience includes work and training at leading medical centers worldwide, including Queen Victoria Hospital in Ireland, Northampton Hospital in the United Kingdom, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in the United States. Since 2007, he has been working as a Sinus Consultant at Khalidi Plaza Medical Center, affiliated with Al Khalidi Hospital in Amman. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Jordan. He obtained the British Fellowship in Otolaryngology (ENT) from Oxford University in the United Kingdom and the American Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He also completed advanced training and fellowships at Oxford University (UK), Trinity University (Ireland), and the University of Cincinnati (USA). Dr. Majdi Abdel Karim provides a wide range of specialized medical services, including treatment of acute and chronic sinusitis, endoscopic sinus surgeries, advanced ENT surgeries, endoscopic skull base surgeries, treatment of nasal obstruction, adenoids, and deviated nasal septum, management of sinus and tonsil diseases in children, and the use of surgical navigation systems in complex and delicate procedures. He is recognized as a pioneer in this field, as he was the first to introduce endoscopic sinus surgery to the Faculty of Medicine, Jordan University Hospital, and public sector hospitals in Amman in 1997, significantly contributing to the advancement of this specialty in Jordan.
